java-socket-connect - Java Socket Connect and Accept

This analyzer measures the Linux socket connect and server accept calls made by Java code. It produces a bar chart with connect/accept attempts and return-status counts, plus separate latency histograms for connect and accept. Connect latency is time spent inside the kernel connect call; accept latency includes time that a server thread waits for a connection. A connect that returns EINPROGRESS is reported separately because the JDK commonly starts a nonblocking connection and completes it later.

Command Line Syntax

The analyzer can be invoked directly on the command-line via the orxray utility from the openresty-xray-cli software package.

Alternatively, the analyzer can also be invoked manually or automatically on the web console UI of OpenResty XRay (like on the Advanced web page).
